- An Administrator is required to manage the day to day operations of the Foundation office including production of books, and audio and video recordings and their sale and distribution, directing and working closely with a team of six people. The Administrator supervises the Foundation online website and preparation of the Foundation bulletin and Newsletters, as well as correspondence and other records. She or he prepares the budget and oversees its management, directs the archives and publications work and maintains good communications with other professionals, the public, international committees, and other Foundations.
Someone applying for this position would have a keen interest in and familiarity with the works of J Krishnamurti, good English language usage, strong computer skills, proven administrative and organizational abilities, and familiarity with basic accounting procedures. An understanding of electronic media and databases is highly desirable, and ability to work well with others is essential.

- Publications: Residential, Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, Brockwood Park. The mission of the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust is to preserve and make available the works of J Krishnamurti. At present, KFT is seeking a residential staff to assist with 'Publications, the 'making available' aspect of its mission. This includes end-user work with two databases (Rights2000 for royalties and ACT! for contact management) and performing certain other administrative tasks. A keen interest in and familiarity with the works of J Krishnamurti are essential as are computer and general office skills. Knowledge of the publishing industry and Internet publishing is a plus. Good English language usage and the ability to work well with figures, databases and contracts are necessary. KFT would appreciate your help in carrying out its mission which is to preserve and make available the works of J.Krishnamurti. You may wish to work in the Foundation office or from home, either for one visit or periodically. In the case of Guest Helpers, food and lodging are given in exchange for work.

Working at the Foundation Office:

1. Enter contract data into a new Rights and Royalties database and scan contracts using your basic computer skills.

2. Sort and remove old financial records from the attic.

Working from Home:

Support staff for the School

For the Kitchen, you need not be a trained cook but you should be keen to participate, learn and be willing reasonably soon to take on responsibility for producing some aspects of the school meal. You should be positive, energetic and physically fit in order to cope with the demands of a busy kitchen that prepares organic vegetarian meals for 100 people.

For the Garden & Grounds, ideally you should have had several years experience in looking after large gardens or an estate, and be competent to join or even lead a small team that is maintaining and gradually redesigning the various gardens within our 38 acre estate.

In Maintenance, we are looking for someone who has expertise in general household maintenance, ideally having worked in a related trade (eg plumber, electrician, carpenter, builder).

The Mature Students are young colleagues who come here out of their own interest in order to study Krishnamurti’s teachings within the context of Brockwood Park School. Their contribution is to bring their seriousness into the atmosphere of the School by learning with staff and students about the art of living and further their own inquiry into these matters. They are the natural age bridge between staff and students and in many cases some students might look up to them for guidance and understanding. Because they do not have the responsibilities of a staff member they can be freer from the running of the school, and as a consequence students could seek them out for advice and clarification on school and private issues. It is very important that the Mature Students understand this situation fully and be ready to meet all this in the spirit of learning. We expect from them that whatever they join into in the School they do it in that spirit.

To be eligible to be a Mature Student at Brockwood Park School you must usually be aged between 21 and 28 years old with an interest in Krishnamurti's work. Mature Students are required to work for 20 hours per week to cover the cost of their food and accommodation at Brockwood. We are currently offering one organised course of study entitled Education and the Art of Living which usually begins in August.

Inwoods Small School

Inwoods Small School is affiliated to Brockwood Park and is located ten minutes walking distance from the campus. It is situated in two wooden barns on a 2-acre wooded site and seeks to provide a genuine alternative for the education of children 5 up to 11 years old. It began 12 years ago as a nursery school and has steadily increased in both the number and age range of the children to a maximum of 27 pupils each day. The purpose of the school is to create an atmosphere of self-motivation, helping children to think for themselves and to develop an awareness of others. The curriculum pays attention to the need for a good approach to basic skills without resorting to systematic testing. Much importance is given to creativity, sensitivity to the enviroment and the enjoyment of learning, without competition or pressure.

In September 2008 we require a qualified, flexible and creative person with a positive attitude to change and a good rapport with children.
